Rush, 87, of Cookeville will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, at Whitson Funeral Home in Cookeville. Burial will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3-9 p.m. today, July 5, at the funeral home. Mrs. Rush died Monday, July 4, 2005, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born May 31, 1918, in Jackson County to the late Zina Franks and Carie (Alan) Roberts. Her family includes four brothers and sistersinlaw, Hollis and Winnie Roberts and Clovis and Bobbie Roberts, all of Cookeville, Recie and Dimple Roberts of Jackson County and Perry and Betty Roberts of St. Clair Shores, Mich.; and a sister and brotherinlaw, Alice (Peggy) and James Tice of Nashville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, G.L. Rush, and a sister, Bertha Johnson.
