Albert, better known as "Bill," was the son of James and Betha Mae (Burns) Lee of Knox County, TN. He married Mildred Louise Miller about 1940. They had one daughter, Brenda Sue Lee. Brenda was 51 years of age when she died on June 23, 1993, and is also buried in Sherwood Cemetery. Bill was a millwright at the North Plant of ALCOA in Alcoa, TN. He had been a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church (Ball Camp Pike) for many years. Rose Mortuary in Knoxville handled funeral arrangements. LEE, ALBERT R. (BILL) - age 89 of Knoxville passed away Thursday, June 19, 2008 at Parkwest Hospital. Mr. Lee was born in Knoxville, TN on May 20, 1919, and was retired from ALCOA where he worked as a millwright in the North Plant. He was a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Lee was preceded in death by parents, James and Betha (Burns) Lee; brothers, Clyde, Robert, and Howard; and sisters, Lillie Davis and Trula Lawrence; wife, Mildred (Miller) Lee; and daughter, Brenda Proffitt. Survived by: sister, Anna B. Bush and husband Raymond of Knoxville. Anna has been her brother's caregiver for the past 15 years. Mr. Lee is also survived by several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with funeral service to immediately follow with Reverend Guy Milam officiating.
