GAHLINGER, Anna Mae, 75, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2012. She was a nurse for over 40 years, a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church and a founding member of First Southern Baptist Church in Floyds Knobs, IN. She was formerly the Director of New Albany Floyd County School Health Services and was a founding member of the Floyd County Youth Shelter. She served as a member of many committees and boards in support of Floyd County Youth Services in New Albany. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Wayne Gahlinger. Anna Mae is survived by her children, Beth O'Leary (David) and Greg Gahlinger (Mary); grandchildren, Kathryn, Ryan, Gregory, Carmen and Emaleigh; sister, Dorothy Perkins; and many nieces and nephews. Her service will be 10am Saturday at Walnut Street Baptist Church, 220 West St. Catherine St. with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Visitation will be Friday 2-8pm at Owen Funeral Home - Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Road and Saturday after 9am at Walnut Street Baptist Church.
