The dead were identified as Barbara A. Fuller, who was pregnant at the time of her death, of 54-739 Monroe, Indio, and James A. O'Donnell, 24 of 7999 Avenue 52, La Quinta. Both victims were thrown out of their cars in the 10:45 a.m. accident Sunday, officers said. Mrs. Fuller was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bob H. Orange of Thermal. Orange is a fish and game warden. Authorities reported the girl died at 2:06 p.m. Sunday and O'Donnell at 9:43 p.m. at a local hospital. Services for the girl were pending at Fitz-Henry funeral Home Indio, and for O'Donnell at Wenger Mortuary, Indio. Officers reported that five other persons recieved major injuries. A spokesman for Indio Community Hospital said the conditions of the victims were: Staci T. O'Donnell, 17 months, "critical"; her father, Thomas C. O'Donnell, 42, 1334 N. Twin Oaks, San Marcus, his wife Olive, 46, "fair"; the couple's daughter, Kathy M. O'Donnell, 20 "fair". The condition of Mrs. Fuller's husband, Ronald, was listed as "critical". The O'Donnells were in one car, the Fullers in the other, officers said. The O'Donnell vehicle was east bound on Ave. 52 and the Fuller vehicle was north bound on Monroe, they said.
