Obituary for Carlos Ray Hall Funeral services for Mr. Carlos Ray Hall, age 82, of Cookeville, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday June 3 at Dyer Funeral Home with Tracey Barker officiating. Interment will follow at John L Clark Memorial Cemetery in Jackson County. The family will receive friends Friday from 5 - 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time. Mr. Hall passed away Wednesday morning, May 31, 2017 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born July 4, 1934 in Jackson County, TN to the late Arthur and Nora Pharris Hall. Mr. Hall served with the US Merchant Marines. He was a member of Liberty Church of Christ. He was retired truck driver with Dacco. Mr. Hall was a great husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and father-in-law. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Alberta Goolsby Hall, who he married December 19, 1958 in Jackson County, TN ; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Ricky Anderson of Cookeville, Sheila and Tracey Barker of Sparta; son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Gaye Hall of Gainesboro; three grandchildren, Amy (George) McCready, Eli Barker, and Shelby Barker, three great-grandchildren, Frank, Breanna, and Hayley McCready; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Hilda Hall of Cookeville; In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Willard, Sam, and Arthur Jr. & Robert Hall; and four sisters, Barbara Evans, Gladys Bybee, Dorothy Poteet, and Betty Hall.
