May 23, 2000 DOBBINS, Charles A. Charles A. Dobbins, 92, of Smith St., Providence, RI, husband of the late V. Evelyn (Longsworth) Dobbins, died Saturday, (May 20, 2000) at Roger Williams General Hospital, Providence, RI. He was born in West Virginia, son of the late Harvey and Rosa (Shanks) Dobbins, and had lived in Pawtucket, RI, from 1950 until he moved to Providence, RI last year. Mr. Dobbins was a manager of the Pawtucket, RI district office of Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, retiring in 1973. He is survived by a daughter, Mildred D. Conlon of West Hartford; a son, Robert C. Dobbins of Pawtucket, RI; two sisters, Dorothy Keister of Junction City, OH; and Mary Lou Snider of Somerset, OH; six grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Jessie Greene and H. Jennings Dobbins. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, 10 a.m. in Pawtucket Congregational Church, Walcott St., Pawtucket, RI. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence, RI. Relatives and friends are invited to call TODAY, 5-8 p.m., in the Mortuary of D.W. Bellows & Son, 85 Paul Place, Pawtucket, RI.
