GAHLINGER, CLARENCE J., 93, died in the early hours on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at Providence Retirement Home. He was a native of Louisville, KY and retired from Reynolds Metals, Plant 14. He was a charter member of First Southern Baptist Church - Floyds Knobs, 4631 Lakeview Drive (Hwy. 150), Floyds Knobs, where he served as Deacon and Sunday School teacher. He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Lavada; oldest son, Wayne; four brothers, Edward, Nichols, Raymond and Robert; and seven sisters, Mary, Lill, Josephine, Agnes, Frances, Maggie and Emma. Survivors include two sons, Arnold (Peggy) of Greenville and David (Betty) of Jackson, AL; daughter- in-law, Anna Mae of Greenville; brother, Earl (Marguerite) of Louisville, KY; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, December 16th at his church with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 1 - 8 p.m. Friday, December 15th at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany.
