Braxton Citizens' News July 18, 2017 Junior D. Rexroad Junior D. Rexroad, 87, of Chapel Road, Gassaway, passed away July 12, 2017 at home after a short illness. He was born November 23, 1929 in Braxton County a son of the late Clyde “Red” and Beva Deuly Rexroad. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Donald and Vernon Rexroad; grandson, Matthew Oney and great grandson, Landon Rexroad. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Evelene Rexroad. He also leaves behind sons; Jimmy (Darlene) Rexroad of Polemic Run, Sutton, Ronny (Mary) Rexroad of Trace Run, Gassaway and Eric (Deanna) Rexroad of Nicholas Run, Gassaway; grandchildren; Gary Rexroad, Justin Rexroad and wife Yada, Nathan Rexroad and Fiancee, Silby, Tony Carr and Fiancee, Courtney; great grandchildren, Klhoe Rexroad, Colt Carr; brother, David Rexroad and wife, Rose. Junior was an Army veteran of the Korean War, a saw mill operator, a retired pipeliner and was a member of L.I.U.N.A. Local union #984. Service was at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Elder Roger Stewart officiated. Interment was in the Crooked Fork Baptist Church Cemetery.
