Braxton Citizens' News August 16, 2016 Dennis “Denny” Lee Cottrill Dennis “Denny” Lee Cottrill, Jr, 33, of Braxton County, passed away August 13, 2016 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born April 7, 1983 in Beckley. Denny was a directional driller for Nomac Drilling. He was a 2001 graduate of Calhoun County High School. He enjoyed writing poetry and riding horses. He dearly loved his daughters. He is survived by daughters, Cameron Leighann Cottrill and Caylee June Cottrill; the mother of his children, Amber Cottrill; father and stepmother, Dennis Lee Cottrill, Sr. and Shelley Cottrill; mother, Lisa D’Ann Cooper; sister, Erica Cottrill; brother, Tyler Cottrill; paternal grandfather, Don Cottrill; maternal grandparents, Tom and Helen Cooper; nephews, Landon and Jonah. Denny was preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Lenora Faye Cottrill. Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Pastor Shelley Mace officiating. Burial will be in the Sugar Creek Cemetery, Gassaway. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
