Bailey 07/29/1920 - 07/10/2007 Edward W. Bailey, age 86 of Tecumseh, died Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at Tecumseh Place with his family by his side. He was born on July 29, 1920 in Fairfield Twp., the son of Harrison and Lula (Palmer) Bailey. On May 24, 1941 he was untied in marriage to Pauline Hile of Monroe, MI and she preceded him in death on May 24, 1975. Ed was a lifelong farmer in the Macon area and worked at the Ford Motor Company in Rawsonville for twenty years until retiring in 1982. He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church of Britton, was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed gardening and watching his purple martins. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Ed is survived by his two sons, William (Judy) Bailey of Tecumseh and Thomas (Diane) Bailey of Ridgeway; one daughter, Sandra (Leonard) Steuwe of Tecumseh; two brothers, Paul (Ruth) Bailey of Britton and Harrison Bailey of Adrian; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife Pauline and parents, Ed was preceded in death by two brothers, Benjamin and Albert and one sister, Agnes. Visitation will be on Friday, July 13 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes. Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 14 at 11 a.m. at the Grace United Methodist Church, Britton with Pastor Richard Burstall officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgeway Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, Hospice of Lenawee, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, or to the National Lupus Foundation.
