Edwin's WW I draft registration shows that he was working in Philidelphia, PA in 1918 as a propeller worker. This may be why he doesn't show in the 1920 US Census with Lillie Dark. No other US Census records for Edwin. However, he does show up in 1941 on a Social Security claim and in 1944 as a voter in Shasta County, CA. Lillie shows that she was widowed in the 1930 US Census. It seems that he may have abandoned his family while working in PA and then moved to California where he died in 1954.
