She had been employed in the garment industry for 16 years at the former Cairo Manufacturing Co., and was a member of Rosedale Baptist Church and Pennsboro Senior Citizens. Surviving are one son, Terry Carr of Ellenboro; one daughter, Mary Hanshaw of Cairo; one brother, Hugh Cottrill of Arnolds-burg; two sisters, Mona Skidmore of Chesapeake and Roseann Turner of Glenville; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harley Carr; three brothers, Ralph, Frank and Burl Cottrill; and one sister, Pina Cottrill. Services will be held Thursday, 11 a.m., at Rosedale Baptist Church. Burial will be in Rosedale Baptist Cemetery. Visitation was scheduled Wednesday, 5 to 8 p.m., at McCullough-Rogers Funeral Home, Pennsboro, and one hour prior to services at the church.
