  • Eula Gray Hickey, age 82, of Sweetwater, passed away February 25, 2016, at home surrounded by her family. She was raised in the Ball Camp Community of West Knoxville where she graduated from Karns High School. She married Grant Hickey, Jr. on February 11, 1956, and they were able to celebrate 60 years of marriage. After having two children she completed cosmetology school at The Tennessee School of Beauty and owned her own shop. They later moved to Sweetwater where she took care of a farmhouse, and she became very active in the First Baptist Church of Sweetwater. She loved and enjoyed the family, her dogs and cats, sewing, painting, stained glass and custom framing. She is preceded in death by her Father: Henry Russell Yarnell and Mother:Mary Lee (Moore) Yarnell; Brothers: Joseph P. and Billy Yarnell. She was survived by her husband: Grant Hickey, Jr.; Son and Daughter-in-law: Robert and Peggy Hickey; Daughter and Son-in-law: Tamela and Alan King, all of Sweetwater; Grandchildren: Brent and wife Tiffany Hickey, Cameran Hickey, Skylar, Khayman, and Alanna King, all of Sweetwater; Great-grandchild: Emori Hickey, of Sweetwater; Brother: Henry Lee Yarnell, of Knoxville; Sisters: Alieen Tullock, of Loudon, Peggy Reynolds, of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews The family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church of Sweetwater on Saturday, February 27, 2016 from 12P.M. until 2P.M. with the funeral service to follow with Dr. Frank Crawford, Dr. Leonard Markham and Rev. Thomas Preston officiating. A graveside service and interment will follow the funeral service on Saturday at the Sweetwater Memorial Gardens.
