CLARKSVILLE MILSTEAD, EVELYN T., 85, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2004, at Floyd Memorial Hospital. She was a resident of Highlife Adult Care, the former Evelyn Arthella Tucker, a native of Fairfax County, VA, a former resident of Louisville and Valley Station, a retired employee of the Naval Ordnance Plant in Louisville and a member of 9th & O Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Gladys Jenkins Smith and Jeannette Kiser, brother, Edmond Tucker and former husband, Andrew Milstead. Survivors include her daughter, Marguerite (Peggy) Gahlinger of Greenville, INM; son, Edward F. Milstead of Shepherdsville, KY; sisters, Nellie Shaw of Winchester, VA, and Mary Frances Lyerly of Manassas, VA; five grandchildren; nine great-grand-children; and four nieces and three nephews and their children. A memorial service is being planned. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville. Published in The Courier-Journal on Dec. 28, 2004 Death certificate indicated that she elected a bequeathel to the Univeristy of Louisville School of Medicine.
