Mrs. Evelyn Franklin died May 30, 2008 at the Livingston Regional Hospital. She was born on November 25, 1920 in Overton County Tennessee to the late Troy Murphy and Essie Bilbrey Murphy. She was a retired factory worker in the garment industry and a Baptist. She is survived by a son and daughter in law David and Angie Franklin of Livingston, a son Ronnie Franklin of Livingston, a daughter and son in law Mary and Billy Flatt of Gainesboro, 7 Grandchildren, 20 Great-Grandchildren and several Great-Great-Grandchildren. Sisters Ethel Carr of Columbus, Ohio and Beulah Walling of Beaumont, Ca. a Brother Lester Murphy of Crossville,Tennessee. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Carl Franklin, Daughter Betty Bilbrey Donaldon, Brothers Junior and Donald Murphy and a sister Anna Dean Garrett. Burial will be in the Franklin Cemetery.
