Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens. Mr. Spivey died Saturday, Nov. 12 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC. He was a truck driver and of the Baptist faith. Born June 15, 1943, in Celina, he was the son of the late Aaron Estes and Martha (McClain) Spivey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Brenda Kay (Masters) Spivey; and a brother, Tramel Spivey. Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Janet (Call) Spivey of Mocksville; a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald Kenneth and Pam Spivey of Hartselle, AL; a daughter and son-in-law, Amanda Kay and Clint Morgan of Smyrna; a step-son, Kenneth Shane Whitcher and his wife, Kris, of Prescott Valley, AZ; a step-daughter, Meg (Whitcher) Mangus and her husband, Chip, of Salem, VA; a brother, Joe Henry Spivey of Celina; a sister, Emma Spivey of Cookeville; 2 grandchildren, Bradley Spivey and Haley Spivey; 4 step-grandchildren, Warren Whitcher, Cora Whitcher, Hannah Mangus, and Fisher Mangus; and a great-grandchild, Austin Spivey.
