Harold E. Jacobi Died: Wednesday, October 31, 2007 Harold E. Jacobi, 83, New Albany, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2007, at his home. A native of Bradford, he was an Army veteran of World War II, retired first sergeant with the Army Reserve in Jeffersonville, a retired driver with the old Smith Transfer Co., and a member of American Legion Post 28, Redmen Club, St. Vincent DePaul Society and Holy Family Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Mark A. Jacobi. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, the former Patricia A. Whelan; a daughter, Mary K. Neese of Houston; a sister, Mary Rita Jacobi; two brothers, Melvin A. Jacobi of Palmyra and Joseph K. Jacobi of Bradford; and three grandchildren. Visitation: Friday, Nov. 2, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Kraft Funeral Service in New Albany. Prayer service: Friday, Nov. 2, at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral Mass: Saturday, Nov. 3, at the funeral home with interment in the St. Michael Bradford Church Cemetery.
