Harold Ray Eldridge (September 08, 1935 - September 19, 2015) Services for Mr. Harold Ray Eldridge, age 80, of Livingston, Tennessee will be conducted Tuesday, September 22, 2015 from the Holly Springs Church of Christ, with Bro. Bruce Mullinix officiating. Burial will be in the Holly Springs Cemetery. Mr. Eldridge passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015 in Livingston. He was born September 8, 1935 in Overton County to the late Edd & Edith Christian Eldridge. He grew up in the Crawford Mills area of Overton County on a farm. His love for football started as a young child playing with his friends and eventually on a team in grade school. His favorite football team was the Tennessee Titans. He met the love of his life Miss Frances Lorene Greenwood on the Livingston Court House Square which was the place to hang out in town. On January 12, 1962, Harold and Lorene were married at Bro. Fate Hunter's house. They soon moved to Sterling Heights, Michigan and started their family. Harold worked for and retired from the Ford Motor Company. He was proud to be part of the United Auto Workers. Harold & Lorene and their family moved back to Tennessee in 1990. Harold enjoyed helping his brother-in-law in carpentry work and trading cattle. He attended the Elm Grove Church as a child but became a member of the Holly Springs Church of Christ in 1990. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Lorene; sons, Doug Eldridge, & Danny Eldridge; grandson, Jesse Eldridge of Rickman; brother, Ernest Eldridge & wife, Joyce of Alpine; & brother-in-law, Tom Greenwood & wife, Judy of Hilham. He is also preceded in death by his sisters: Ruth Copeland, Pearl Elrod, Dean Warden, Irene Brown, Myrtle Allred & Helen McCauley; & a brother: Flowler Eldridge. Pallbearers to serve are Doug Eldridge, Jesse Eldridge, Shannon Eldridge, Blake McCauley, Gary Greenwood, & Steve Greenwood. Honorary Pallbearers are Seth Greenwood, Mark Allred, Sean Eldridge, and his best friend for over fifty years, Charlie Rash.
