Funeral services for Mr. Hasker H. "Howard" Hughes, age 74, of the Frogtown Road Community will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 23, 2014 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston with Bro. Jerry Buck officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery in Allons. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5 until 9 p.m. Mr. Hughes passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was born January 19, 1940 in Overton County to the late Lindell & Climma Ledbetter Hughes. He was a factory worker for a foam manufacturer. He attended Bethel Assembly of God. Mr. Hughes is survived by his sons, Rick Hughes & wife, Sandy and Willie Hughes, all of Livingston; daughter, Vicky Cantrell & husband, Randy of Livingston; brothers, Ed Hughes of Anderson, IN, Baxter Hughes of Rickman, & Keith Hughes of Allons; 4 grandchildren, April Emerick, Amy Beaty, Cody Cantrell, & Dakota Hughes; and 6 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Stella Ledbetter Hughes, and a brother, Bobby Hughes.
