Funeral Services for Hazel Boles Pitcock will be conducted Thursday, July 16, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN with Jimmy Cook officiating. Interment will follow in the Smith Chapel Cemetery. Macon County Times July 24, 2009 Hazel Boles Pitcock, age 86 of the Bethany Community in Macon County, TN passed away Tuesday morning, July 14, 2009 at the Palace in Red Boiling Springs, TN. Funeral Services for Hazel Boles Pitcock were conducted Thursday afternoon, July 16, 2009 from the chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN with Jimmy Cook officiating. Mrs. Pitcock was taken to the Smith Chapel Cemetery in a 1931 Packard Hearse by the family's request for her interment. Honorary Pallbearers were Wade Pitcock, Mitch Bray and James Hagan. Active Pallbearers were Dan Pitcock, Jerry Pitcock, Roger Perdue, Joe Hill, Jerry Langford and Scottie Perdue. Hazel was born July 20, 1922 in the Baptist Ridge Community in Clay County, TN, the daughter of the late Afton and Della Lynn Boles. On May 10, 1941, she married Aaron Hanson "Red" Pitcock, who preceded her in death on June 14, 2000. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Howard Boles. She was a homemaker and a wonderful quilter. Her family treasurers her handmade quilts that she left them. She was also a member of the Red Boiling Springs Church of Christ. Survivors includes: daughter, Linda Blakley, granddaughter, Kim (Mark) Evans, great-grandson, Takoda Evans, great-granddaughter, Marina Evans all of the Bethany Community, brother-in-law, Wade (Evelyn) Pitcock, Anderson, IN, sisters-in-law, Velma Pitcock, Anderson, IN, Inez Pitcock, Murfreesboro, a host of nieces and nephews.
