He was a self -employed dairy farmer as well as working for the Harrison County Highway Department for 21 years. He was a 1955 graduate of Morgan Township High School. Herbert was a lifetime member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Bradford Indiana. He enjoyed reading the paper, pitching horse shoes, card games, and gardening. Herbert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who loved spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Mildred Schilmiller, Bernadine Kochert, Mary Louise Hoehn; one brother, Raymond Hoehn; as well as one grandson Jackson Diddock. Herbert is survived by his wife, Kay Hoehn; one brother Norbert (Mary Catherine) Hoehn; one daughter, Stephanie (Jerry) Smith; two sons, Herbert F. (Karen) Hoehn Jr., Sam (Holly) Hoehn; seven grandchildren, Anthony (Jessica) Hoehn, Michael (Lauren) Hoehn, Samantha (Craig) Evans, Kristin (Travis) Herthel, Lauren (Mitch) Meador, Heather Van Bree, and Mason Diddock; five great-grandchildren, Emma Evans, Maverick Evans, Dallas Meador, Gatlin Meador, Beau Herthel; and one faithful companion "Cocoa". Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday May 07, 2022 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Bradford, IN. Visitation will be held on Friday May 06, 2022 at St. Michael Catholic Church from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday May 7, 2022 at St. Michael Church from 9 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be at St. Michael Cemetery in Bradford, IN.
