Joe Eagle Flippin, age 69, of Tompkinsville, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2009 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. He was born December 26, 1939 to the late Radford Maxey Flippin and Ada Deckard Flippin. He was a retired facotry worker and school bus driver. He was a retired Sergeant from the Kentucky National Guard after spending 20 years. He is survived by three sons: Stacey Joe Flippin of Russellville, KY, James Macey Flippin of Auburn, KY, Alan Todd Flippin of Tompkinsville, KY. 7 grandchildren and1 great-grandchild. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Radford Maxey "Buddy" Flippin, and a sister, Bessie Lee Martin. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 11, at 1:00 p.m. at Strode's Gamaliel Chapel, with burial in the Gamaliel Cemetery.
