Husband of Mary Hazel Bryan. The Courier-Journal, Wednesday, 9/09/2009. HILLEBRAND, JOSEPH G., 88, of Okolona, returned to his Heavenly Father, Monday, September 7, 2009. He was a retired truck driver, diesel mechanic, instructor, a teamster, an Army veteran of World War II and a Catholic by faith. Joseph was preceded in death by his son, Joey Hillebrand. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Mary (Bryan) Hillebrand; son, Garrett Hillebrand; daughters, Rosalie Eddington, Carol Shanks and Linda Wiederkehr; sister, Margaret Backherms; 20 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Visiting for Mr. Hillebrand will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road). Services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday at Saint Rita Church, 8709 Preston Highway. Burial in Brookland Cemetery.
