Larry G. Smith, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. Larry was born on March 5, 1954 in Crossroads, West Virginia. He moved at the age of thirteen to Jeffersonville, Indiana. Larry worked over 20 years for Pizza Hut and was a member of First Baptist Church in Jeffersonville. He and his wife could often be found enjoying themselves riding his moped around town. Larry was an avid WWE and country music fan. He participated many years in the Special Olympics and won numerous medals in horseshoes, volleyball, and softball. Larry loved his family and will be deeply missed by them all. Larry was preceded in death by his father, Walter E. Smith. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Marie Beavin Smith; his mother, Laura Eddy Smith; two siblings, Phoebe Curry (Delbert); James R. Eddy (Alice); three nieces and three nephews, Julie Lawson (Michael); Mylissa Westbay (Jason); Tony Eddy, Ricky Eddy, Joseph Eddy, Tammy Eddy; five great nieces and nephews, Dalton, Devon, Alyssa, Abygail, Kaden; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended Beavin family. Funeral services for Larry G. Smith, 65, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, will be held at 1:30 PM on Thursday, September, 26, 2019 with burial to follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5-8 PM and on Thursday from 9-1:30 PM at the funeral home.
