He was born in Jackson County, TN, and departed this life on Sunday, September 25, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. Mr. Logan (Junior) Raines, Jr. was the son of the late Logan Raines, Sr. and Avo Netherton Raines. He was the husband of Jewell Hamlet Raines whom he married on December 23, 1957. Mr. Raines was a retired carpenter and a member of the Dudney’s Hill Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers: Marshall Raines, Leon Raines, Joe Raines and Mark Raines and two sisters: Myrtle Malone and Lougenie Vaughn. In addition to his wife Mr. Logan (Junior) Raines, Jr. is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law: Traci Raines of Gainesboro and Kathy Ford and her husband Jim of Cookeville; four grandchildren: Jamie Henson and husband Jimmy, Jacqulyn Pharris, Jennifer Pippin and Whitney Goolsby all of Gainesboro; seven great-grandchildren: Jessie and Jayda Henson, Jarred and Jaylen Pharris, Joseph Walton and Jaycie and Jett Phillips; two sisters: Lois Bostic and Bonnie Bowman both of Baxter, TN as well as several nieces and nephews.
