Mandy Stafford Burks (April 26, 1917 - December 14, 2010) Mrs. Mandy Stafford Burks age 93 passed away Tuesday December 14, 2010 at Life Care Center of Sparta, she was a resident of Sparta. Mrs. Stafford was born April 26, 1917 in Jackson County to the late Wade and Mae Boles Stafford. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents,husband Monk Burks, children Mary Katherine Cornett, Norma Jean Hayes, George Burks and Ralph Burks, precede her in death. She is survived by her two sons Lee Roy Burks and Paul Burks both of Sparta Two sisters: Addie Matthews of Livingston and Etta Morgan of Gainesboro Sixteen grandchildren Numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday, December 16, 2010 in the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Turkey Town Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 pm Wednesday at Hunter Funeral Home. David Lee England will officiate
