(Research):The Citizens Voice Charles Joseph Pahler Sr. of Pocono Park, Plains Township, died Friday at home. He was the son of the late John and Margaret Dunbar Pahler. He was a graduate of Meyers High School and an Air Force veteran. He was formerly employed by Eberhard Faber for over 26 years, and lastly by Luzerne County as a van driver. He was preceded in death by sister, Rita Kellar. He and his wife, the former Mary Haley, celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary on May 19, 2006. In addition to his wife are his children, Teresa Koval, Shavertown; Charles Pahler, Wilkes-Barre; Suzanne and her husband, Keith Brink, Boulder, Colo.; Shirley Jo Pahler, Wilkes-Barre; John Stahl; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, John Pahler, Carteret, N.J.; James and Joseph Pahler, both of Wilkes-Barre; sister, Helen Johnson, Wilkes-Barre; Marion Mashalla, Carteret, N.J.; Shirley Paldrica, Wilkes-Barre; several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Monday at 9:30 from Mamary-Durkin Funeral Services, 59 Parrish St., Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
