Clover, Cookeville, will be held Sunday, Sept. 25, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Dyer Funeral Home with Bro. Glen McDoniel and Bro. Steve Baggett officiating. Burial will be in Cookeville City Cemetery. Mrs. Wheeler died Sept. 23, 1983, in Cookeville General Hospital. A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late John Bailey and Barbara L. Chaffin Flatt. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Her family includes her husband, D. C. Wheeler of Cookeville; seven sons, Willie D. Wheeler, Garland D. Wheeler, Martin T. Wheeler, Louis E. Wheeler, all of Cookeville; James C. Wheeler of MO, Mack E. Wheeler of Lynnville, TN, and Earl D. Wheeler of Nashville; five daughters, Mrs. Clella Marie Wright, Mrs. Vere Reels, Mrs. Mary Goolsby, Mrs. Mae Stults, all of Cookeville, Mrs. Thelma Clark of Portland, TN; two brothers, Arlis Flatt of Old Hickory, TN, and Sewell Flatt of Jakcson County; two sisters, Mrs. Ora Carrington and Mrs. Donna Maxwell, both of Cookeville; 29 grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Dow J. Wheeler.
