Preceded in death by her parents Haley and Selma Roberts, and brother Durell Roberts. Survived by her Sister Betty Fay Lewis; brother, Ralph Roberts; niece Kim Roberts; nephew David Lewis (Dawn); great nephew, Samuel Lewis and great nieces Ruby and Tabitha Lewis. Ms. Roberts served for decades as Executive Assistant to Lt Gov John S Wilder. A life-long Democrat, she actively campaigned for party candidates throughout Tennessee, and served in various capacities on county, state, and national levels, and as a delegate to several state and national conventions. She was honored for her service by the Davidson County Democratic Women, and the Council of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County proclaimed Oct 16, 2003, as "Maxine Day" in her honor.
