Knoxville News-Sentinel (Tennessee), 25 Dec 2005. JOINER , OSTA - age 86 of Knoxville, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, December 22, 2005. A member of Solway Church of God where she raised her children. She also attended Dante Church of God for several years and dearly loved both her church families. Preceded in death by husband, Nick Joiner parents, Robert and Stella Hankins brothers, Pete, Howard, and Raymond. Survivors: sons, Jerry (Gina) Joiner of Harriman and Troy Joiner of Knoxville daughters, Betty (Marvin) Crawford of Knoxville and Sheila Simmons of Gary, Ind. Grandchildren: Rocky (Lori), Robby (Michelle) Crawford, Marvina (Mike) Baldwin, Lori Ann Masters of Knoxville, Lynn Joiner , LeeAnn Sharp of Florida, Nikki Brown of Harriman, Tracie Mathis of Gary, Ind. Dearly loved by great-grandchildren & several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Monday from 12 to 2 PM at Solway Church of God. A Celebration of her life will follow at 2 pm with private, family only interment following in the church cemetery. Per her request, donations to the Solway Church of God Cemetery Fund thankfully appreciated. Weaver Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
