Ray was a loving husband, father and grandfather who taught us all the value of hard work, honesty and family. He worked for 38 years as a mechanic at Smith Transfer Corporation and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Martha Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Rose (Jacobi) Timperman; brother, Joseph Timperman; and sisters, Anna Kruer, Lorraine Zoeller, and Mary Loeffler. Ray is survived by his wife of "124 years", five children, fifteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and five siblings. Special thanks to the entire staff at Episcopal Church Home for their loving care in recent weeks. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at St. Martha Catholic Church, 2825 Klondike Lane, with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be noon - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road, where a prayer service will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday and the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. by the Knights of Columbus.
