October 30, 2004 -- Section: DEATH NOTICE - Edition: 1 STAR - Page: B7 Pauline D. Norman Pauline D. Norman, 84, of Akron, passed away Oct. 28, 2004, at Akron City Hospital. She was born Jan. 23, 1920, in Akron, Ohio, to the late James and Twila (Bowser) Blakney. Pauline was a lifelong resident of Akron but spent her winters in Florida for the past 26 years. She was an avid card player. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Otmer C. Norman, and daughter, Karen Soucy; one sister, and three brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Edna (Ray) Rininger of Akron; son, Raymond C. (Sandra) Norman of Akron; grandchildren, Teri (John) Naehring, Pauline Hasselschwert, Roger (Karen) Dardenne, Gail (Chris) Cole, Pam (Dave) LaRocco, Colleen (Rick) Bennett, Michelle (Enrique) Villalba, Rob (Gina) White, Jill White, Brad (Kelly) White; 26 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Roy (Barbara) Blakney of Rockford, Ill.; son-in-law, Richard Soucy of Wilmington, N.C. Calling hours will be Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at NEWCOMER-FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m., with Pastor G. Rod Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1900 W. Market St., Akron, Ohio 44313-6927.
