COOKEVILLE Graveside services for Raymond Kirkpatrick, 84, of Algood, will be held at 11 a.m. on Wed., Nov. 17, at Algood Cemetery, with military honors provided by the Veterans Honor Guard. Mr. Kirkpatrick died on Tues., Nov. 16, 2004, in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born on April 8, 1920, in Jackson County to the late Afton Alto and Sarah Isabelle Young Kirkpatrick. He served in the Army during World War II and participated in the European Theatre. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge, where he received several medals and ribbons, including the Purple Heart, two Bronze Stars and Silver Star. Mr. Kirkpatrick was a member of Algood Church of Christ. His family includes his wife, Wealthea England Kirkpatrick of Algood; a stepson and his wife, David and Wilma McDonald of Dalton, Ga.; a sisterinlaw, Martha Kirkpatrick of Nashville; and a niece, Michelle Ealey of Nashville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Domer and Malcolm Kirkpatrick.
