Akron Beacon Journal (OH) October 5, 1987 Robert C. Rose Sr. Robert C. Rose Sr., 46, died Oct. 3 after a sudden illness. Born in Little Birch, W. Va., he was an Akron resident 35 years. He was employed as a salesman for Parker Hannifin Corp., formerly Schrader Bellows. He was an Army veteran, was a former member of the Akron Baptist Temple; and was an avid golfer. He is survived by former wife, Sharon J. of Akron; son, Robert Rose Jr. of Columbus; daughter, Shellie Rose of Portage Lakes; brother, Allen W. Rose of Akron; sister, Mrs. Vernon (Wilma) McBride of Akron; mother, Allie G. Rose of Akron; niece, Debra Morelock of Akron; and nephews, Walter McBride of California and Larry Rose of Akron. He was preceded in death by father, Melvin Rose. Funeral service Tuesday, 1 p.m., at the Schermesser Funeral Home, 1446 S. Main St., Rev. Darris Malone officiating. Interment Lakewood Cemetery.
