He was born January 4, 1934, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Charlie Owen Barlow and Dimple Phipps Barlow. On August 16, 1963, he was married to Loure O. Barlow, who survives. He was a farmer and a mechanic, and a member of the Old Antioch Community Church. He was preceded in death by his parents: Charlie Owen Barlow and Dimple Phelps Barlow; 1 Granddaughter: Stephanie Michelle Gruel; 2 Sisters: Beatrice Barlow and Rue Allen; and 1 Brother-in-law: Claude Dailey. Survivors include his Wife: Loure Goolsby Barlow; 1 Son: Charlie Dwain Barlow; 1 Daughter: Susan Elaine Barlow Gruel, 3 Grandsons: Christopher Thomas Barlow, Matthew Dylan Barlow, and Nicholas Alexander Gruel; 1 Sister: Juanita Dailey; nd 1 Brother-in-law: Loyd Allen all of Gainesboro, TN. Other nephews, nieces, and friends also survive. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 P.M. on Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Turkeytown Cemetery in Clay County, TN.
