June 12, 1931 ~ April 13, 2018 Verble S. 'Junior' Vickers, 86 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed from this life on Friday, April 13, 2018, in Cookeville. He was born on Friday, June 12, 1931 in Cookeville, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Verble and Lucille (Franklin) Vickers. Junior was a loving Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, and Stepdad. He was a member of Rocky Point Baptist Church, and enjoyed fishing, gardening and was immaculate with his lawn care. His life in Dayton took him thru Greenview Calvary Tabernacle, where he helped in building and maintenance of the church. He is survived by: 2 Sons and Daughters-in-law: Garry and Sarah Vickers; Jamie and Brenda Vickers all of Montgomery County, Ohio 1 Stepdaughter and caregiver: Suzie McBroom 5 Grandchildren: Chris, JaNae, Ryan, Tiffany, and Joshua; 3 Great Grandchildren: Morgan, Madison, and David Jr. 2 Step Grandchildren: Laci and Luke McBroom A host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Geneva (Lee) Vickers. second wife, Ruby (Matheney) Vickers, and 1 Son, Gaylon Vickers. Memorial services for Junior will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2018, from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. Nolan Cantrell officiating.
