Verla M. Sigler, 86, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away December 28, 2008 at Falls Village Retirement Center. She was born October 10, 1922 in Ravenna, Ohio to the late Harry and Alta Laverne (Eattinger) Gauer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold W. Sigler and her brother, Virgil Gauer. She is survived by her daughters, Pam (Dave) Nolte and Cindy (Ramsey) Mitchell; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 2 at 12 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, with Pastor Brad Pietzcker officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11 a.m. until the service begins.
