Vern Brown Younger, Jr, 69, of Wilburton, died December 8, 2018 in Wilburton. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2018 at the Hartshorne First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Scott Horstman officiating. Vern was born on October 5, 1949 in Gowen, to Vern Brown, Sr. and Naomi Younger. Survivors include his wife: Phyllis McClode of the home; son: James Younger of Gowen; granddaughter: Rian McClode; grandson: Curtis McClode; brothers: Joe Younger, Jim Cole, Allen Cole; sisters: Fran Greathouse, Dianne Shelton, Debbie Cole; and special friends: Clem Peppers and Linda Snead; and numerous cousins, nieces, & nephews. He was preceded in death by his father: Vern Brown Younger, Sr., stepfather: Fate Cole, and mother: Naomi Younger Cole.
