Born in , on September 23, 1940 Departed on July 21, 2012 LOFTIS, VI - Age 71 of Hendersonville passed away July 21, 2012. Vi was a gentle soul sent from the heavens. She was a very big hearted, straight forward and honest woman. She was the kind of person that would give you the shirt off her back. She loved to play slot machines at the casino, gardening and drinking coffee every morning with the BB Coffee Club on her front porch. She was a Christian woman that loved the Lord. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Portland for the last 37 years. Heaven is a better place with her in it. Preceded in death by her Parents, Millerd Roberts and Thelma Rush Roberts; husband of 45 years, Gerald Loftis; brother, Jack Lee Roberts. She leaves behind her children, Larry Loftis Nancy, Pam Thomas, Gary Loftis Leah, Terry Loftis Sheila, Baby & Cricket; 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, sisters, Linda Puckett Jack & Jean Case Jimmy; brothers, James Roberts Shirley & Billy Roberts Linda; many extended family members, loved ones, and friends. A Life Celebration will be held 2pm Tuesday at Crestview Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Loftis officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 4pm - 8pm Monday and 1 hour prior to service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Alive Hospice of Nashville.
