Vivian Pauline Roberts, age 89, a McMinnville, TN resident and Jackson County, TN native died February 24, 2016 in Webb House Retirement Center following an extended illness. She was a homemaker, member of the Church of Christ and daughter of the late Herbert Baugh and Ara Chaffin Smith. Ms. Roberts was married March 16, 1946 to Ray Douglas Roberts who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son, Timothy Roberts; daughter, Jane Ann Roberts; brothers, Roy and Ralph Smith; and sisters, Evelyn New and Christine Johnson. Survivors include children and spouses, Mike (Gayle) Roberts, Donna Dowell and Paul (Ann) Roberts all of McMinnville and Jennifer (Jimmy) Boring of Memphis, TN; thirteen grandchildren, Mary Heath Roberts of McMinnville, Andrew Baugh (Erika) Roberts, Jodi Beth (Brent) Habermon, James Jacob Boring, Justin Roberts Boring and Jackson Douglas Boring all of Memphis, Mark Anthony (Stephanie) Dowell of Atlanta, GA, David Douglas (Erica) Dowell of Louisville, KY, Dustin Roberts (Caroline) Dowell of Indianapolis, IN, Rachel Katherine (Tim) Kohler, Paul Douglas (Brittney) Roberts, Anne-Claire Roberts and Joshua Michael (Cristen) Roberts all of Nashville, TN; four great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Law of Cookeville, TN; brother, H. B. (Mai) Smith of Cookeville; and daughter-in-law Mary Jane Roberts Owens of Memphis. Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 26, 2016 in the Chapel of Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home of Gainesboro, TN with family to officiate. Interment will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. Friday until time of service at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home.
