William Marshall Sims Kings Mountain, Ky., June 1, 1981 William Marshall Sims, 71, Route 1, Kings Mountain, Kentucky, died June 1, 1981, at his home after a sudden illness. He was a native of Lincoln County and was born November 1, 1909. He was the son of the late Luanza Wall and Ziff Sims, whom were divorced. Mr. Sims was survived by three sons: James R. Sims, Jackson, Michigan; Robert Sims, Cincinnati, Ohio; Charles Sims, Burnside, Kentucky; one step-son, Lee Southerland of Wabash, Indiana; one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Jenkins, Kings Mountain; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was a retired machinist. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Friday, June 5, 1981, at the Barnett Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Hill officiating and burial was in the Sims Cemetery in Kings Mountain.
