Funeral services for Mrs. Zylpha Bowman Greenwood, age 94, of Livingston will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2015 from the Holly Springs Church of Christ with Bro. Tom Greenwood and Bro. Bruce Mullinix officiating. Burial will be in the Holly Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening at the church from 4 until 9 p.m. Mrs. Greenwood passed away on May 6, 2015 at the Overton County Nursing Home. She was born November 6, 1920 in Overton County to the late John and Martha Henley Bowman. She was a garment factory worker. She was a life long member of Holly Springs Church of Christ. She loved quilting, crocheting, spending time with family & friends, and attending church. She is survived by a son & daughter-in-law, Tom & Judy Greenwood of Livingston; daughter & son-in-law, Lorene & Harold Eldridge of Livingston; 8 grandchildren, Steve, Mark, & Gary Greenwood, Danny & Doug Eldridge, Lisa Moody, & Rena Thurman; 8 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Bonzie Smith of Livingston. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Elmer Greenwood, sons: Fred and James Greenwood, grandson: Jeff Greenwood, brother: Harlen Bowman, and sister: Lucy Dale. Pallbearers to serve are Danny & Doug Eldridge, Gary, Seth, Steve, & Mark Greenwood. Honorary pallbearer: Jesse Eldridge.
