COOKEVILLE Funeral services for Bruce Willard Goolsby, 67, of Cookeville will be Thursday, Feb. 22, at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Family will receive friends Wednesday, Feb. 21, from 4-9 p.m. and Thursday, Feb. 22, from 7 a.m. until time of services. Mr. Goolsby died Feb. 19, 2007, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born Jan. 10, 1940, in Clay Co. to the late Shelby Edeith Goolsby and Eldrith Writh Roberts. Mr. Goolsby was a master builder and member of Holladay Church of Christ. His family includes his wife, Mary Elise Wheeler Goolsby of Cookeville; two sons and daughtersinlaw, Bruce Jr. and Carla Goolsby and Shelby Clarence and Mari Goolsby, all of Cookeville; two daughters and a soninlaw, Lagene Goolsby and Mark Lee of Murfreesboro and Lisa Goolsby of Cookeville; two brothers and a sisterinlaw, Henry Neal and Linda Goolsby of Baxter and David Herman Goolsby of Vicksburg, Miss.; three sisters and brothersinlaw, Virginia Byrn Hunt of Lebanon, Eva Nelle and Jack Scott and Beatrice Alberta and Ray Hall of Cookeville; and seven grandchildren, Elizabeth, Rachel Michelle and Hannah Rebecca Lee and Kiko Suzanne, Nathen Shelby, Daniel Kai and Brenda Marie Goolsby. In addition to his parents, Mr. Goolsby was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Franklin Goolsby. Memorial donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity.
