Dovie Jewel was born 11 November 1900 to Blanche and Lee Archer. She was a telephone operator before and after her marriage to Clyde C. Wagner on 12 July 1925. Clyde was a barber. They had no children. Dovie Jewel developed tuberculosis and was admitted to a sanitarium near Seattle. She died 22 October 1932 and is buried in Burlington, Washington Cemetery. A few years later Clyde committed suicide when he learned he had terminal cancer.
