E. Fay Leckman, age 92, a lifelong resident of Burlington, died July 26, 2011 at Home Place Special Care Center, Burlington. She was born April 27, 1919 in Burlington, one of eight children of A.L. "Lee" Archer and Blanche Roberts Archer. She was a 1937 graduate of Burlington High School. Her marriage to Herbert O. Leckman took place May 17, 1943 in Burlington. Mr. Leckman died in 1944, while serving with the U.S Army in Europe. Mrs. Leckman was member of Burlington United Methodist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Debbie Hawkins, of Bellingham; two grandchildren, Angie Lopez, of Marysville, and Tony Lopez Jr., of Arlington; one great-granddaughter, Taylor Lopez, of Marysville; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five sisters, Jewel Wagner, Violet Marchant, Frances "Fannie" Fredrickson, Bessie Gay and Myrtle Hamilton; and two brothers, Roy and Robert Archer. A private family graveside was held in Grandview Cemetery, Anacortes. Arrangements are under the direction of Hulbush Funeral Home, Burlington.
