COOKEVILLE - Funeral services for Elmer Bennett, 76, will be conducted at the chapel of Hooper & Huddleston Funeral Home Thursday, Feb. 15 at 2:30 with Rev. Glenn Bennett and Rev. Bob Farris officiating. Mr. Bennett died Feb. 11 in Clawson, MI, following an extended illness. Burial will be in Cookeville City Cemetery. He was a native of Overton County the son of the late Sam and Mary Langford Bennett. For a number of years he owned and operated a grocery store here in Cookeville. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mae Loftis Bennett, one daughter, Mrs. William Cantrell, Clawon, MI; one son, Rev. Glenn Bennett, Magnolia, AR; four grandchildren, one greatgrandchild; three brothers, Ledford, Elzie and Virgil Bennett of Cookeville; two sisters, Mrs. Comer Webb and Mrs. Gladys Harris of Cookeville.
