Ether Davis, 93, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 1, 2014. He was born on January 18,1920 in Clay County, TN to the late Bedford and Cora Davis. Mr. Davis was a member of Garfield Heights Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served in the 9th Armored Infantry Battalion, 6th Armored Division during WWII. He was wounded on January 2, 1945 in Bastogne, Belgium. He retired from the Chrysler Corporation in 1982. Ether is survived by his son, Steve Davis; daughters, Kay (John) Bittorie, Sherri Pruitt, and Candace (Steve) Huxford; grandchildren, Paul Davis, Shannon Bess, Shelley Bittorie, Tara Scarborough, Amber Wood, Ryan Pruitt, Stephanie Roell, Mallory, Ellie, and Lindsay Huxford; and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Davis; and four siblings.
