Burial will be in Overton County Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Brown died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2007, in NHC Healthcare in Cookeville. She was born Sept. 26, 1922, in Overton County to the late Joseph Oscar and Magnolia Farmer Carwile. Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and a member of the Presbyterian Church in Knoxville. She was also a member of the Weavers Guild. Her family includes four brothers, Eldon Carwile of Franklin, and Ethan, Eric and Earl Carwile, all of Livingston; three sisters, Edwina Winningham of Livingston, Elna Wilson of Granger, Ind., and Estelene Morgan of Hilham; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, B. Gratz Brown; and four sisters, Eldrith Parsons, Evelyn Carwile, Ruth Bell Stephens and Rosa Nell Carwile. Bro.
