Funeral services for Mr. Gene Autry Cobble, 60, of Rickman, were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005, from the chapel of Rickman-Hall Funeral Home with Dannie Phillips officiating. Burial was in Netherland Cemetery. Mr. Cobble died Tuesday, Dec. 20 at his home. Born August 26, 1945, in Overton County, he was the son of the late John Butler ?J.B.? and Maggie (Bowman) Cobble. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Janie (Cobble) Dixon. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Faye (Vaughn) Cobble of Rickman; 2 sons, Junior Cobble of Rickman and Danny Cobble of Cookeville; 2 daughters, Shelia Winningham and Valerie Raiford, both of Rickman; 4 brothers, Bud Cobble and Clyde Cobble, both of Cookeville, and John Cobble and Jack Cobble, both of Algood; 4 sisters, Mary Fletcher of Algood, Juanita Fletcher of Cookeville, and Judy Hotsinpillar and Jenny Breeding, both of Rickman; and 8 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Justin Cobble, Shawn Cobble, Ronnie Raiford, Rick Adkins, Brandon Lane, Justin Cason, Donnie Breeding, Steve Sells, and Dale Bryant.
