He was born November 17, 1917 in Braxton County, the son of the late Perry and Malissa Bail Dobbins. He was a World War II Army Veteran and a lifelong farmer. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his three sisters, Valerie Hamric and husband Kyle, Mary Dobbins, Avis Houghton and husband Flem, and a nephew, Cledith Houghton. He is survived by a niece, Anna Lea White and husband, Dorvin; a great-nephew, Dorvin White Jr. and wife, Jeanette, of Elizabeth; great-nieces, Lisa Young, and husband Ronnie, and Beverly Young and husband, Johnny, of Strange Creek, Teresa Rose and husband Donald of Little Birch; five great-great nephews and one great-great niece. Services were held on Monday, November 26, 2007 at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home in Gassaway with Rev. Jimmy Adkins officiating. Burial followed in the Bail Cemetery, Strange Creek, with Military Graveside Rites.
